Receiving Jesus Christ - Becoming a Christ Follower

Followers of Jesus have accepted Gods plan for their life instead of rejecting it.

God created all men with a desire in their heart for eternity (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

Sin separates all of us from God (Romans 3:23).

Jesus is the only way back to God (John 14:6).

Jesus lived a sinless life but was willing to die so that those who believe in him will receive eternal life through forgiveness of sins (John 3:16, Acts 10:43). Through his blood our sins are forgiven (Ephesians 1:7). You must turn your heart towards Jesus (that is repentance - see Mark 1:15) and receive Him as the Lord of your life (John 1:12). You express this by testifying to your belief that Jesus is Lord (that is confession - see Romans 10:9-10) and by immersion in water (that is baptism - see Romans 6:4-5).

Receiving Jesus Christ gives you the ability to live with purity and make right choices (Romans 6:22).

The reward for believing that Jesus is the Savior is eternal life (John 3:16), and the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).

By accepting the free gift of salvation offered in Jesus Christ in this way, you become part of the body of Christ - a Christian.

How to Become a Part of Central

We make it very easy for you. If you are already an immersed (baptized) believer in Jesus Christ, or make your decision to become a Christ-follower and are baptized in water, all that is necessary is for you to e-mail or express your desire to one of our staff pastors that you want to place your fellowship with Central.

If Central is not the right place for you, we encourage you to place fellowship with a local body for the purposes of ministry, encouragement, shepherding and accountability. We have been involved in many projects over the years, and we invite you to learn by example how you can help your community together with Central Christian Church.
